Objective:By observing the effect on the spasticity, motor function and the capacity for action in daily life of the patients with spastic hemiplegia of the limbs after stroke, who are treated by the electroacupuncture associated with TCM herbal fumigation, discuss the efficacy of the electroacupuncture associated with TCM herbal fumigation and the separate efficacy of TCM herbal fumigation on this disease, verify the effect and the clinical value of the associated method on this desease. Methods:This paper used the randomized controlled trials to compare 70 patients who were treated in the traditional Chinese medicine department and the internal medical department of the Shiquan Community medical center in Putuo District,Shanghai, during the period from June to December in the year of 2018.These patients were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group was treated by the electroacupuncture associated with TCM herbal fumigation, while the control group was given simply the common electroacupuncture. One of the patients left the experiment because of the skin allergy.Finally,34 samples were assigned into the treatment group, and 35 in the control group. The first steps of the two groups are both common internal medical treatments, with the same acupuncture points,3 times a week, and 10 times as a course, rest for 2 days and continue one course of treatment,a total of three courses of treatment.Observing the different data of the two groups, estimating and improving the Ashworth spasticity scale, the CSI clinical spasm index scale, the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment scale(FMA)and the activities of daily living(ADL)scale on the different effects, and use the statistical method to analyze the results.Through this process, the different efficacy between the two groups of treatment could be indicated, and an effective therapy on this disease could be found.Result:(1)the comparison on the basic data:there was no significant difference between the two groups on the following variables of the patients before the experiment: age, gender, course of disease, type of stroke and the spasticity scale, the CSI clinical spasm index scale, the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment scale(FMA)and the activities of daily living(ADL)scale.(p>0.05).(2)the comparison on the data after treatment:there was significant difference between the two groups on the following variables of the patients after the experiment: the spasticity scale, the CSI clinical spasm index scale, the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment scale(FMA)and the activities of daily living(ADL)scale(p<0.05).(3)All of the four indices are improved by the treatment;the comparison on the data between groups:the treatment group made a better result on the improvement of the following four elements: the spasticity scale, the CSI clinical spasm index scale, the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment scale(FMA)and the activities of daily living(ADL)scale. There was significant difference between the two groups(p<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment group(the electroacupuncture associated with TCM herbal fumigation)and the control group(simply electroacupuncture)both have good efficacies on the Spastic hemiplegia of the limbs after stroke.Compared with the simply electroacupuncture treatment, the electroacupuncture associated with TCM herbal fumigation has a more significant efficacy on the patients with the spastic hemiplegia of the limbs after stroke,by reduce the spasticity scale and the spasticity index, while increase the the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment scale(FMA)and improve the activities of daily living. The therapy supported by this research has a precise clinical efficacy. It is also simple and safe. For the spastic hemiplegia of the limbs after stroke, this is a simple, convenient and effective method, which is valuable to be generalized.
