ObjectiveThis study used polysomnography to assess the sleep of adolescents with bipolar depressive disorder, and assessed clinical symptoms through a series of scales to explore whether there are differences in sleep characteristics between normal adolescents and the correlation between sleep and clinical symptoms.MethodsThrough MINI structured clinical meetings, and according to the diagnostic criteria for bipolar disorder in DSM-5,a total of 31 adolescents with bipolar depressive disorder and 29 healthy adolescents were included.Subjects were evaluated for mood, sleep and other related scales and polysomnography for assessment of sleep characteristics.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0.Results1.The PHQ-9,GAD-7,HAMD,HAMA,MDQ,HCL-32,YMRS,PSQI and ESS scores of the BDD group were higher than those of the NC group;2?The sleep duration of REM phase and the percentage of REM phase in total sleep time in BDD group are less than those in NC group, and the time to wake up after falling asleep is longer, the sleep efficiency is lower, and the average sleep heart rate is faster;3?PSQI,HCL-32,YMRS,depression and anxiety scores are negatively correlated with REM sleep.Anxiety, depression, and insomnia symptoms were negatively correlated with sleep efficiency and positively correlated with wakefulness time after falling asleep.PSQI,YMRS,anxiety and depression scores were positively correlated with REM sleep latency.Conclusion1?Compared with the NC group, the sleep duration of REM phase of adolescent patients with bipolar depression decreased, and the proportion of REM phase decreased;2?The BDD group has lower sleep efficiency and awake longer after falling asleep than the NC group;3?The symptoms of depression and anxiety in adolescents with bipolar depressive disorder are significantly related to REM sleep and REM sleep latency. At the same time, the more severe the symptoms of depression, anxiety and insomnia, the worse the sleep quality.
