Objective:By observing the effects of adjustable brace on the elbow functional recovery in terrible triad of the elbow after surgical treatment,the clinical value of this method in improving the postoperative function of the affected limb after terrible triad o the elbow was discussed.Methods:A total of 40 patients with terrible triad of the elbow were selectedfrom from January 2018 to October 2019 in the Trauma Department of Quanzhou Orthopedic Hospital of Fujian University of traditional Chinese medicine.According to the date of admission,the patients were divided into two groups according to the random number table.There were 20 cases in the test group and 20 cases in the control group.The control group used postoperative Taohong Siwu Decoction + gypsum external fixation for 3 weeks + removed the plaster to perform functional exercise program for affected limbs,and the experimental group used postoperative Taohong Siwu Decoction + adjustable brace external fixation for 6 weeks + early functional exercise Scheme,observation indicators:Observe the swelling degree and pain score of the affected limb on the 1st,5th,and 10 th day after surgery,and evaluate the therapeutic effect of TCM syndromes on the 10 th day after surgery.Measure the elbow joint mobility of the affected limb at 3 days,3 weeks,6 weeks,and 12 weeks after surgery and evaluate the Mayo score of the elbow joint at 12 weeks after surgery,and postoperative complications,this is used as a clinical efficacy evaluation index,and statistical analysis of the collected data is performed using SPSS 22.0 statistical software.Result:1.There is no statistically significant difference between the basic data of the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05),which is comparable.2.Swelling:There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups on the first,fifth and tenth day after operation(all P>0.05).3.Pain:There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups on the first and fifth days after operation(all P>0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference on the 10 th day after operation(P<0.05).4.Range of motion of the elbow: There was no significant difference between the two groups on the 3rd day after operation(P>0.05).There was significant difference between the two groups on the 3rd,6th and 12 th week after operation(P<0.05),that is,there was grouping effect,and there was interaction effect between grouping factor and time factor(P<0.05).5.Elbow Mayo score:Comparison of postoperative Mayo score between the two groups at 12 weeks after surgery,80.500 ± 13.268 points in the test group and 76.142 ± 11.442 points in the control group.Although the score in the test group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Comparison of excellent rate of Mayo score between the two groups at 12 weeks after surgery:the experimental group:6 cases were excellent,8 cases were good,5 cases were moderate,1 case was poor;the control group:4 cases were excellent and 8 cases Good,6 cases were fair,2 cases were poor.There was no statistically significant difference in Mayo score between the two groups at 12 weeks after surgery(P>0.05).6.Clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine:Evaluation of the efficacy of the two groups 10 days after surgery,Test group:3 cases recovered,20 cases markedly effective,3 cases effective;Control group:1 case cured,14 cases markedly effective,12 cases were effective.There was no statistically significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).8.Evaluation of safety and complications:Test group:1 case of ossifying myositis;control group:3 cases of ossifying myositis.The incidence of postoperative complications in the control group was higher than that in the experimental group.Conclution:The clinical effect of adjustable braces in the early rehabilitation after terrible triad o the elbow is definite.It is an effective method to restore the stability of the elbow joint and early functional exercise,and helps to restore the activity function of the elbow joint after surgery.
