?Objective?1.To investigate the real experience and analyze the problems and needs of of oral feeding after radical resection of oral cancer, and provide reference for the preliminary construction of the items of early oral feeding ability assessment scale for patients after radical resection of oral cancer.2.To preliminarily establish the early oral-feeding ability assessment scale for patients after radical resection of oral cancer. And then it could evaluate the oral-feeding ability of patients and help achieve safe and effective oral-feeding earlier to improve the postoperative nutritional status and clinical outcomes of patients.?Methods?1.Taking Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory as the theoretical framework, combining literature analysis and clinical expert opinions to establish an interview outline, purposive sampling method was used to select patients after radical resection of oral cancer and a semi-structured interview to investigate the real experience and needs of patients with early oral feeding after radical resection of oral cancer.2.Taking the bio-psychosocial medical model and Maslow's hierarchy of needs as the theoretical framework, combining the heterogeneity study and literature analysis method to establish the scale items, two rounds of Delphi expert correspondence was performed to preliminarily establish the early oral feeding ability assessment scale and three-level scoring criteria of items for patients after radical resection of oral cancer, and the proportion allocation method of importance score was used to determine the weight value of each item.?Results?1.Results of qualitative study11 patients after radical resection of oral cancer were interviewed in a semi-structured manner, and five themes were extracted, including inadaptability of oral feeding after radical surgery, lacking security of oral feeding, eagerness for family support and understanding, eagerness for self-esteem and respect from others, and eagerness for professional information support to achieve self-realization.Among them, the maladaptability of oral feeding includes intraoral wound pain, changes in eating status, and gastrointestinal reactions after oral feeding;the lack of security of eating includes dependence on tube feeding and health care workers.2.Results of preliminary scale construction Eighteen experts were included in the first round for consultation, and 16 experts in the second round for consultation. The effective recovery rates of the two rounds of expert consultation were 90% and 100%,the coefficients of variation of feasibility scores of the two rounds of expert consultation were 0.09~ 0.24 and 0.07 ~ 0.21,the coefficients of variation of importance scores were0.11 ~ 0.24 and 0.05 ~ 0.24 respectively, and the coefficients of variation were basically < 0.25;the coefficients of coordination of feasibility scores of the two rounds of expert consultation were 0.396 and 0.453,and the coefficients of coordination of importance scores were 0.37 and 0.396 respectively, and the differences were statistically significant(p < 0.05).The final constructed initial scale included 4 dimensions and 22 items, all of which used a three-level scoring criteria, with weights ranging from 0.042 to 0.053 for each item.?Conclusion? There are multi-faceted problems and needs of patients with radical resection of oral cancer in oral feeding. In this study, the item pool of the scale was preliminarily proposed by using the method of literature analysis combined with heterogeneity study. After two rounds of Delphi expert correspondence, the items were revised to form the early oral feeding ability assessment scale for patients after radical resection of oral cancer, including 4 dimensions and 22 items, providing a reference for comprehensive and scientific assessment of patients and promoting early safe and effective eating of patients as well as improving postoperative nutritional status and early clinical outcomes.
