Objective:Explore the effect on staging treatment based on syndrome differentiation combined with adjuvant chemotherapy to patients with high-risk?stage,?stage colon cancer postoperative survival, assess its effect on patients'quality of life, toxic and side effects of chemotherapy, analyzes the prognostic factors.Method:Analyze retrospectively the medical records of 100 patients with high-risk stage?and III colon cancer, according to whether combined with Chinese medicine in postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, patients were divided into treatment group(Chinese medicine+adjuvant chemotherapy)and control group(adjuvant chemotherapy)50 patients in each group,Kaplan-meier statistical method was used for univariate survival analysis.COX proportional risk model was used to analyze the multi-factor.Using EORCT-C30 quality of life to assess the quality of life of patients in the form of a questionnaire.Toxic and side effects were evaluated according to clinical records.Results:1.96 of 100 patients were followed up,4 cases were lost to follow-up,and the rate of lost follow-up was 4%.2.The OS of the treatment group was 35.5 months, and the OS of the control group was 35.1 months, there was no statistical difference between the two groups(?~2=0.085,P=0.771);The DFS of the treatment group was 33.9 months, and the DFS of the control group was 30.1 months, there was a statistical difference between the two groups(?~2=3.906,P=0.048).3.The survival time of patients aged<60 years was longer than patients aged?60 years, patients with tumors originating from the left hemicolon have a longer survival period than those originating from the right hemicolon(P<0.05).The survival time of patients was increased with the degree of tumor cell differentiation(P<0.05).The pathological types of tumors were tubular adenocarcinoma, villous adenocarcinoma, papillary adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma and signet ring cell carcinoma, the survival time of cancer patients was shortened in the above order, patients with signet ring cell carcinoma had the worst prognosis(P<0.05);The survival time of stage?patients was shorter than high-risk stage?(P<0.05);The survival time of the patients was increased with the increase of KPS score(P<0.05);The patients of dMMR had a longer survival time than pMMR patients(P<0.05);Multi-factor analysis results showed that many factors were independent factors affecting the patient's DFS,such as syndrome differentiation by stages, degree of tumor differentiation, types of tumor pathology and TNM staging of tumor.4.The health status of the patients in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05),and the adverse reactions of patients in the treatment group, such as fatigue, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, loss of appetite, constipation, and diarrhea, were significantly less than those in the control group(P<0.05),staging syndrome differentiation combined with adjuvant chemotherapy didn't increase the patient's financial burden significantly(P>0.05).5.The incidence of bone marrow suppression, nausea and vomiting in the treatment group patient was lower than control group significantly(P<0.05),and there was no significant damage to liver and kidney functions.Conclusion:1.The factors consist of the age of the patient, the origin of the tumor, the degree of tumor cell differentiation, the type of tumor cell pathology, the TNM stage,KPS score, and MMR affected the OS and DFS in patients with high-risk stage?and stage III colon cancer.2.The degree of tumor cell differentiation, the pathological type of tumor cells, and the TNM stage, those were the risk factors that affect DFS in patients with high-risk stage?and stage?colon cancer, syndrome differentiation treatment was a protective factor to prolong patient DFS,the degree of tumor cell differentiation was a risk factor to short patient OS.3.Staging syndrome differentiation with adjuvant chemotherapy can prolong DFS significantly of patients with high-risk stage?and stage?colon cancer, they can improve the quality of patients life significantly, reduce the incidence of toxic side effects,at the same time, the traditional Chinese medicine treatment didn't increase patients economic burden significantly.
