Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)combining with linear measurement in the immediate implant breast reconstruction.Methods: Choosing 68 patients who need immediate implant breast reconstruction during November 2016 to November 2018 in the department of plastic surgery and breast surgery of Sichuan provincial people's hospital.Then,68 cases were randomly divided into two groups,34 cases were selected as the group A,using MRI combining with linear measurement,34 cases were selected as the group B,using traditional Archimedes method.Collecting the preoperative data(which contain age,height,weight,chest circumference),the same patients were used two methods to measure breast volume,the implant's volume of two group,the index of breast symmetry,the cosmetic result,the patient's quality of life and complications,using statistical methods for comparative analysis.Results: There was no statistical difference in the general data(age,height,weight,chest circumference)between two groups(P>0.05).The group A were used MRI and traditional Archimedes method for measuring the volume of the affected side breast,there had no statistically significant(P>0.05).Comparing the implant's volume of two group,there was no statistical difference between two groups(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the linear parameters between the affected side and the contralateral breast in the group A: sternal notch to nipple(SN-N),midclavicle to nipple(C-N),nipple to midline(N-M),mammal base width(MBW),nipple to inframammary fold(N-IMF)(P>0.05);there were no significant differences in the linear parameters between the affected side and the contralateral breast in the group B : sternal notch to nipple(SN-N),midclavicle to nipple(C-N),nipple to midline(N-M)(P>0.05),but there were significant differences inmammal base width(MBW),nipple to inframammary fold(N-IMF)(P<0.05).In the subjective evaluation,using Michigan questionnaire,the overall satisfaction and aesthetic satisfaction had no statistical difference between two groups(P>0.05);and in the objective evaluation,using ZeJin standard,the aesthetic satisfaction of group A is 81.82%,the aesthetic satisfaction of group B is 65.63%,there was no statistical difference between two groups(P>0.05).In the patient's quality of life,the group A and group B there was no statistically significant(P>0.05),in the Social/family status,emotional status,functional status,additional concerns,there was no statistically significant(P>0.05),but in the physical activity,there had statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the group A was 8.82%,and the group B was 17.65%,there was no statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.MRI combining with linear measurement and Archimedes method are the safe and effective measurement methods in the immediate implant breast reconstruction.2.The application of MRI combine with linear measurement can effectively measure the volume of breast,height,width and convexity,and can be considered as a reference method in the immediate implant breast reconstruction surgery,and worth further study.
