Objective: To investigate the expression and correlation of SATB1,SATB2 and P53 in gastric carcinoma and its para-carcinoma tissues.Methods: Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were used to detect the expressions of SATB1,SATB2 and P53 proteins in gastric carcinoma and its paracarcinoma tissues.qRT-PCR technique was used to detect the transcription levels of STAB1,SATB2 and P53 mRNA in gastric carcinoma tissues and its para-carcinoma tissues.Further use the statistical software to analyze the correlation between the above indicators and the relationship between them and the clinicopathological case characteristics.Results:(1)The expression of SATB1 protein and mRNA in gastric carcinoma tissues were significantly higher than that in para-carcinoma tissues(P < 0.05),and its expression level correlated with the patient's age,tumor size,invasion depth,lymph node metastasis,TNM stage and differentiation degree,but not with gender.(2)The expression of SATB2 protein and mRNA in gastric carcinoma tissues were downregulated compared with that in para-carcinoma tissues(P < 0.05),and its expression level correlated with tumor lymph node metastasis,TNM stage,differentiation degree,but not with age,sex,tumor size and invasion depth.(3)The expression of P53 protein and mRNA in gastric carcinoma tissues was up-regulated compared with that in paracarcinoma tissues(P < 0.05),and its expression level correlated with tumor lymph node metastasis,TNM stage and differentiation degree,but not related with patient gender,age,tumor invasion depth and size(P > 0.05).(4)The expression of SATB1 and SATB2 in gastric carcinoma tissues was negatively correlated(r =-0.440,P=0.001),and the difference was statistically significant.SATB2 was negatively correlated with P53(r =-0.360,P=0.010).SATB1 was positively correlated with P53 expression in gastric carcinoma tissues(r =0.200),but there was no statistical difference(P > 0.05).Conclusion:(1)The expression levels of SATB1,P53 protein and mRNA in gastric carcinoma tissues were higher than that in para-carcinoma tissues.(2)The expression of SATB2 protein and mRNA in gastric carcinoma tissues were lower than that in paracarcinoma tissues.(3)In gastric carcinoma tissues,the expression of SATB1 is negatively correlated with the expression of SATB2,and positively correlated with the expression level of p53 to some extent.While the SATB2 was negatively correlated with the expression level of P53.(4)The up-regulation of SATB1 and P53 expression is closely related to tumor size,invasion depth,TNM stage and differentiation degree,while the down-regulation of SATB2 expression is related to lymph node metastasis,TNM stage and differentiation degree of tumor.The combined detection of SATB1,SATB2 and P53 may be helpful to evaluate the infiltration,metastasis and prognosis of gastric carcinoma patients.
