Purpose:To observe the changes of the postoprative diopter and axial length in vitrectomy combine with silicone oil tamponade and silicone oil removal(combined with cataract surgery)and to analyze the related factors affecting the refractive error after silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery.Method:The data of patients who underwent vitrectomy combine with silicone oil tamponade and silicone oil removal(combined with cataract surgery)from September 2018 to January 2020 in our hospital were collected and analyzed retrospectively.Among them,43 eyes underwent vitrectomy combine with silicone oil tamponade and silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery and 15 eyes underwent vitrectomy with silicone oil filling and silicone oil removal. The sex, age, eye, the interval data of twice operation, preoperative diopter, preoperative axial length, preoperative anterior chamber depth, preoperative corneal curvature, preoperative intraocular pressure, postoperative diopter and postoperative axial length were analyzed to determine whether the above factors were the causes of refractive error after silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery. Results:After vitrectomy combine with silicone oil tamponade, the postoperative diopter drifted to hyperopia significantly, and hyperopia drift at 3 month was less than 1 week;after silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery or silicone oil removal alone, the postoperative diopter drifted to myopia significantly. The axial length increased after vitrectomy combine with silicone oil tamponade while the axial length decreased after silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery or silicone oil removal alone. After silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery, refractive error occurred which drifted to hyperopia. The change of axial length is a risk factor for refractive error and there is a correlation between the change of axial length and refractive error at 1 and 3 months after silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery.Age,gender, eye, first disease, preoperative axial length, preoperative anterior chamber depth, preoperative corneal curvature, preoperative intraocular pressure and IOL type are not risk factors for refractive error.Conclusion:1.The change of axial length is the cause of refractive error after silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery.2.Age,sex,eye,preoperative axial length, preoperative anterior chamber depth, preoperative corneal curvature, preoperative intraocular pressure and lens type are not the causes of refractive error after silicone oil removal combined with cataract surgery.
