Objective : To systematically evaluate the effect of estrogen on wound healing. Methods:The randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of the effects of estrogen on wound healing in EMBASE,PubMed,the Cochrane Library,CNKI,CBM,wanfang and VIP databases were searched. The papers were included according to the inclusion criteria, and the retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to February 2020.Two researchers independently selected papers, extracted data and evaluated the risk of bias in the study, and then used revman5.3 software for Meta-analysis.Results:The experimental group(n =81)the wound healing rate on the 7th day after injury was higher than that in the control group(n = 77)(SMD = 4.25,95% CI = 1.64-6.86,P = 0.001),the wound healing rate on the 14 th day in the experimental group(n = 59)was higher than that in the control group(n = 55)(SMD = 3.47,95% CI = 1.24-5.70,P = 0.002),the wound healing time in the experimental group(n = 41)was shorter than that in the control group(n=41)(MD =-4.55,95% CI =-5.90-3.20,P < 0.00001).Conclusion : Estrogen can promote wound healing and shortenhealing time. However,a larger sample size of clinical trials is still needed to verify.
