Objectives: At present epidemiological studies on chronic kidney disease(CKD)in Xining areas are nearly rare and existing knowledge on related risk factors of CKD is poor. The research project was designed to investigate into CKD-related risk factors among residents aged above 65 in Xining areas,so that both medical staff and the public will attach more importance to prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Methods: Residents, aged above 65 by 2019 and permanently living in Xining areas, were included into the research project.Altogether 2,435 permanent residents of the area were randomly selected.By way of physical examination report investigations and questionnaire surveys, clinical data of the subjects was collected. Then they were divided in line with the KDIGO(Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes)NKF guidelines 2019.Comparisons were made between the CKD group and the non-CKD group as to their basic information, general conditions, personal hobbies, individual illness history, dietary habits, laboratory biochemical index, family history and relevant information. Results: Altogether 2,435 residents, aged above 65 by 2019 and permanently living in Xining areas, were included into the research project.Of them,687 ones, including 292 males and 395 females were diagnosed with CKD,with the positive rate of 28.21%(687/2435).Females featured significantly higher positive rate than males(32.94%vs23.62%).Compared with residents with high incomes and good educational backgrounds, those who had low incomes and poor educational backgrounds were more likely to suffer CKD,with statistically significant difference(p<0.05).Dietary habits like smoking, chronic alcohol consumption and long-term administration of nephrotoxic drugs were unexceptionally able to increase CKD incidence. There were no significant differences between the CKD group and the non-CKD group in reasonable diet and regular exercises(p>0.05).Chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and hepatitis had unexceptional effects on the occurrence of CKD.According to collected subject clinical data like general information, physical examination reports and laboratory biochemical index, patients of the CKD group had significantly higher indexes than those of the non-CKD group in age,BMI,SBP,DBP,HB,Hb A1 C,GLU,TG,LDL?C,UA and BUN.There were statistical differences(p<0.05).There were no significant differences between the CKD group and the non-CKD group as to the level of ALB,TC and HDL?C(p>0.05).Multiple logistic regression analysis was conducted on the aforesaid significant indexes. It was found that age, female, blood pressure level, hypertension history, diabetes history, history of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, history of hepatitis,Hb A1 C and GLU were risk factors related to CKD.Conclusions: On the whole, the positive rate among residents, aged above 65 and living in Xining areas, comes to 28.21% and females are more likely to suffer the disease than males.Smoking and chronic alcohol consumption will increase CKD incidence.CKD patients have higher BMI than those who do not suffer the disease.People with hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hepatitis and other chronic and infectious diseases are more likely to be plagued by CKD.Blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid level will also exert an effect on CKD.Besides, age, female,SBP,DBP,hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hepatitis,Hb A1 C,GLUand UA are relevant risk factors of CKD.The key to prevent and control the disease lies in the following aspects: control of risk factors, active treatment during early development, frequent follow-up visits to people with choric diseases to prevent its development and delay its progress, promotion of CKD knowledge among the public and medical staff so that they can attach more importance to the disease.
