Objective : By using 3D technology to reconstruct the volume of ventricle and brain,to explore the feasibility of using the volume ratio of ventricles to brain as a morphometric marker in the diagnosis of hydrocephalus,the selection of surgical patients and the evaluation of surgical effect.Methods:CT images of 83 hydrocephalus patients and 97 healthy controls from June 2013 to December 2019 in the 940 th Hospital of the People's Liberation Army Joint Service Support Force were collected.35 cases of hydrocephalus underwent the second CT examination one month after CSF shunt.The Evan's index of each subject was measured,and 3D slicer software was used to reconstruct the three-dimensional volume of each CT data to obtain the relevant values,and calculate the ratio of the volume of the brain to the ventricle.All the data were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 and mapped by graphpad prism5.P < 0.05 is considered statistically significant.Results:The correlation between the volume ratio of ventricles to brain VS the volume of ventricles(R2 = 0.9737)was stronger than that between the Evan's index VS the volume of ventricles(R2 = 0.8311),The AUC for the volume ratio of ventricles to brain(AUC = 0.995,95% confidence interval 0.988-1.000)was significantly greater than the AUC for Evan's index(AUC = 0.964,95% confidence interval 0.942-0.987)?there was no statistical difference between age and gender in the traffic hydrocephalus(P > 0.05);there was significant statistical difference between the traffic hydrocephalus and the healthy control group,between the operation group and the non operation group,before and after the operation Difference(P< 0.05).Conclusion:3D technology is more intuitive and accurate than traditional methods in the diagnosis of hydrocephalus,which is worth popularizing and applying.Hydrocephalus occurs in all ages without obvious gender difference.As a morphometric marker,the volume ratio of ventricles to brain can be used in the diagnosis of hydrocephalus and the screening of surgical patients.This study suggests that when the volume ratio of ventricles to brain is more than0.063,it can be initially diagnosed as hydrocephalus.
