Objective: This study analyzed the differences of intestinal microecology between the post-appendectomy population and the healthy population without appendectomy, and preliminarily explores the role of appendix in the regulation of intestinal microecology.Materials and methods: 30 cases of healthy people after appendectomy(Post-appendectomy Health group,Post-a group)and 30 cases of healthy people(Health group, group Health)were included in this study.Fresh fecal specimens from all groups of people were restored, and the V3-V4 region of 16S-r DNA was amplified and sequenced by high flux technology, and the bioinformatics analysis(Species annotation,?-diversity analysis,?-diversity analysis, etc.)of the sequencing results was carried out to compare the microecological differences in the intestinal tract of the group. Results: There were no differences(p>0.05)on the age(33.3 ± 1.4 VS 33.1 ± 1.2)and sex ration(the sex ration of the three groups were 15/15)of Post-a group and Health group.Bioinformatics analysis shows that:(1)Compared with Health group, the diversity of intestinal microecological species in Post-a group decreased significantly(OTU numbers 729 VS 529,p<0.05);In Phylum, the relative abundance of Fusobacteria was higher in Post-a group(p<0.05);In Genus, the relative abundance of Fusobacteria was higher in the genus Post-a group(p<0.05).The analysis of ? diversity showed that the intestinal flora of Post-a group and Health group was significantly different.(2)Comparative analysis of intestinal microecological species in the post-a group, within 2 years after operation,2-5 years after operation, and more than 5 years after operation, although there was no significant difference in the relative abundance of intestinal microflora at the Phylum and Genus, the diversity increased gradually. Conclusion: After appendectomy, the diversity of intestinal microecological species decreased, and the distribution of Fusobacteria was relatively rich, which was significantly different from that of healthy people without appendectomy, suggesting that the appendix plays an important role in regulating intestinal microecology. The prolongation of the time after appendectomy, the intestinal microecological diversity of the healthy population without appendicitis is increasing and recovering.
