Objective:To observe the effects of short-time hypoxia/cold exposure on the expression of UCP-1 in white adipose tissue of obese rats,and to discuss whether there has enhancement effects of the compound environment on browning of white fat.Methods:40 obese rats were randomly allocated to normal control group(N,n=10),normal temperature/hypoxia group(NT/H,n=10),normoxia/cold exposure group(NH/C,n=10)and hypoxia/cold exposure group(H/C,n=10).NT/H and H/C were modeled in the hypoxia cabin with oxygen content of 16.2%,NH/C and H/C were modeled in a cold refrigerator with temperature of 4-6?.4 weeks later,observed the weight changes of rats and detected the expression of UCP-1 in white adipose tissue of rats.Results:1)Statistical results of weight change:?There was no significant changes of the weight in N before and after the experiment(P> 0.05);?Compared with N,the weight of NT/H?NH/C and H/C was reduced(P<0.05);?Compared with NT/H and NH/C,the weight in H/C was reduced more significant(P<0.05).2)Statistical results of the UCP-1 expression:? Compared with N,the expression of UCP-1 in white adipose tissue of NT/H?NH/C and H/C was increased(P < 0.05);?Compared with NT/H?NH/C,the expression of UCP-1 in white adipose tissue of H/C was increased more significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:After short-time hypoxia/cold exposure,with the increase of UCP-1 in white adipose tissue of obese rats,the body weight reduced,indicating that short-time hypoxia/cold exposure may effect the body weight by upregulate the expression of ucp-1.
