| Objective To investigate the mechanism of the clinicopathological and metastatic relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and colorectal cancer. Methods 532 cases of colorectal cancer diagnosed by pathology were collected.59 cases were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes(Diabetes group),473 patients with non-type 2diabetes(Colorectal Cancer group). The relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and the clinicopathological features of colorectal cancer were analyzed by case-control method; The mechanism of the relationship between type 2 diabetes and colorectal cancer was further studied by immunohistochemistry. Results Compared with Colorectal Cancer group, there were significant differences between Diabetes group and Colorectal Cancer group in the age of onset, living environment, tumor location and lymph node metastasis, and were statistically significant(p<0.05);At the same time, the correlation analysis of various risk factors suggests that In the incidence of colorectal cancer, aging and urban living environment are the risk factors for patients with type 2 diabetes and colorectal cancer. In the development of colorectal cancer, type 2 diabetes is a risk factor for cancer in the colon. In the metastasis of colorectal cancer, type 2 diabetes is a risk factor for lymph node metastasis in patients with colorectal cancer.Conclusion(1)Patients with type 2 diabetes who are older(≥65 years old)or living in urban environments have a higher risk of developing colorectal cancer;(2)Type 2 diabetes is a possible risk factor for colon cancer and lymph node metastasis;(3)Type 2 diabetes accelerate the formation of EMT but may not directly promote metastasis of colorectal cancer through EMT. |
