Objective:Under the background of big data driven,more and more scientific research practice depends on algorithms.Quantitative research on the using and influence assessment of algorithms can reflect the influence differences of algorithms from different levels in academic papers,which can help researchers understand the common algorithm in their fields,and select algorithmic categories and decision-making algorithms according to the types of research tasks fully,so as to deepen the understanding of the academic value of algorithms and deepen the medical information driven by big data knowledge of information science.At the same time,it can enrich the research content of information econometric analysis and provide a new dimension for scientific research evaluation and innovation incentive.Methods:This paper used Social Survey and Stratified Random Sampling to take 2401 academic papers as samples published in five journals of JCR in the field of medical informatics during the decade of 2009-2018.Using full-text to find 705 papers used 170 algorithms by screening and tagging.Dividing these algorithms into 16 categories in the Top Ten Standard and Expert Consultation.Counting the using of algorithmic categories from years and periodicals,and analyzing the influence of algorithmic categories from three aspects: frequency of mention,location of mention,co-occurrence of mention by Dictionary-based approach.Results:From the point of view of using: the experimental results show that the proportion of papers used algorithmic categories in journals is increasing year by year,except 2015.The dependence degree of each journal on algorithmic categories is different."Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine" refers to 16 algorithmic categories.From the results of impact analysis: algorithms such as Classification Algorithm,Statistics Algorithm,Artificial Neural Network have the highest influence and play an important role in the field of medical informatics,while the Detector Algorithm and Rough Set have low influence.Conclusion:There are obvious differences in the using of the 16 Algorithmic Categories in the Medical Informatics.The research results show that the quantitative evaluation index based on the full text content can conduct multi-directional and relatively comprehensive research on the influence of different algorithms in specific fields,so as to help new researchers understand the value of algorithms in the Medical Informatics.
