Object:To explore the dynamic changes of serum advanced glycation end products(AGEs)in patients with severe cerebrovascular disease and its correlation with the patient's conditionMethods:A total of 75 cases patients of severe cerebrovascular disease and 30 cases non severe cerebrovascular disease were collected in Shanxi Provincial People's Hospital, and confirmed by CT or MRI.They were admitted to hospital on the onset of 0-24 H.Serum AGES levels 1,3,5 and 7 days after hospitalization were detected and analyzed in the early morning of the abdomen. The blood AGS content was measured by ELISA,and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS22.0 software.Results:1.Serum AGEs levels(ug/ml)of tow groups are determined on the first, third, fifth and seventh days: 7.52±14.54?5.79±13.07?6.84±13.58?6.96±14.89.2 and3.06±8.09?3.60±10.07?2.28±5.54?4.27±10.09.Prognosis improvement group(23 cases): 3.3±4.2,2.8±3.1,1.9±2.0,2.3±3.1;poor prognosis group(52 cases):9.2 ± 16.9,7.6 ± 16.2,8.5 ± 17.2,8.1 ± 16.5.The overall T-test was statisticallysignificant in the poor prognosis group and the improved prognosis group.Serum AGEs levels is higher in the poor prognosis group than the improved prognosis group.Serum AGEs levels is progressively decreased in the improved-prognosis group, while those in the poor-prognosis group increased again on the third day after the third day of reduction.3.Nondiabetic group(58 cases): 5.0±7.5,3.7±5.7,4.0±7.5,4.0±7.7;Diabetic group(17 cases): 13.0±23.6,11.6±23.4,11.9±23.8,11.5±22.7.The overall T test was statistically significant in the diabetic and nondiabetic groups. The levels of serum AGEs in diabetic patients is significantly higher than that in non-diabetic patients. Both groups have a higher levels of serum AGEs in the first day of the disease, which decreased significantly on the third day and fluctuate horizontally on the seventh day.Conclusion:1.Serum AGS levels in patients with severe cerebrovascular disease were highest on the first day of onset, decreased on the third day,and increased again on the fifth day to the seventh day..2.The first day level of AGEs can guid the prognosis of patients' disease. The level of AGEs continuous decreases, suggest a good prognosis, but when the level of AGEs increase again, indicating a poor prognosis.3.The serum AGEs levels in diabetic patients is significantly higher than non-diabetic patients.
