Ultrasound has several advantages such as non-invasive,non-radiative,real-time,inexpensive and portable. Therefore, the application of ultrasound in industrial and medial detection had drawn lots of attention.Especially in medicine detection, ultrasound scanning technology has been successfully applied.Accurate position of the interfaces in the invisible range of the human body, grasping the influence of different lesion stages on signal, and real-time monitoring of the size and state of lesion are benefit to the observation and treatment of the lesion. The human abdomen was the test object, and an appropriate two-dimensional section was selected. The known media parameters, characteristics and structure of the organization were referred to and the accuracy of using the transit time information to locate the lesions in the pulse echo method as well as the influence of different lesion states on the echo signals were explored. The main work and results are as follows.(1)A human abdominal simulation model was established referring to the real human data. The interface with the largest proportion of soft tissue was selected as the two-dimensional interface to be studied.32 ultrasonic probes were unevenly distributed around the interface.(2)Gaussian mode and attenuation mode were used as excitation signals, respectively. The Gaussian mode excitation signal was selected by comparing the ease of information extracted in echo information and transmission information and information availability. The reflection mode was selected by comparing the information effectiveness and availability.(3)The lesion parameters were set according to the existing medical data, and the reflection mode was adopted in the simulation process. The lesion size and the lesion speed were set according to the single variable principle. The simulation results showed that the extracted transit time was used to judge the interface position, and the error was about 3mm.For the lesions with different sound velocities, the maximum sound pressure value of the interface reflection back became larger as the sound velocity of the lesion became larger.(4)A verification experiment using the transit time to locate the interface was completed. The position of the interface was judged by the time-of-flight in the echo signal, and the accuracy of the result was largely related to the size setting of the lesion and the setting of the interface to probe distance.Within a certain range, the larger the lesion size and the farther the interface was from the probe, the more accurate the positioning. The error results of this experiment were all within 12%.
