Objective: To explore the association between surfactant protein A(SP-A)gene polymorphism and allergen specific immunotheraphy(SIT)treatment in order to deepen the understanding of SIT treatment mechanism. At the same time, the results of the study will provide the possibility of typing the disease at the genetic level, and individualized treatment methods can be developed according to the individual's sensitivity to the drug, thereby improving the therapeutic effect. Methods: 160 patients with allergic rhinitis who underwent subcutaneous specific immunotherapy were enrolled. The patients were followed up for 1 year. The general clinical data and clinical symptom scores of allergic rhinitis before and after treatment,4-6 months after treatment and 1 year after treatment were recorded.According to the treatment effect,it is divided into the improved group and the unmodified group. The peripheral blood genomic DNA of each case was extracted, and 9 tags(rs1059047,rs1136450,rs1136451,rs1059057,rs4253527,rs1059046,rs17886395,rs1965407,rs1965708)on the SP-A gene were genotyped. To analyze the association between SP-A gene polymorphism and the general clinical data of patients and the immunotherapy effect of allergic rhinitis. Results: A total of 119 patients completed follow-up,81 patients in the improved group,38 patients in the unmodified group, the rate of improvement was 68%.-50 C>G locus(rs1136450)CC genotype patients were significantly more effective than GG genotypes(P<0.05);-223 A >C locus(rs1965708)AC genotypes patients were significantly more effective than AA genotypes(P<0.05),the remaining genotypes(rs1059047,rs1136451,rs1059057,rs4253527,rs1059046,rs17886395,rs1965407)were not significantly associated with immunotherapy efficacy. There were no significant correlations between the general clinical features of patients' gender, age, whether they had asthma, duration of disease, aggravation season, treatment history, surgical history, family history, and home environment, and the effectiveness of immunotherapy. Conclusions: SP-A gene polymorphism is associated with the efficacy of immunotherapy for allergic rhinitis,in which the polymorphisms of-50 C>G locus(rs1136450)and-223A>C locus(rs1965708)may be associated with allergic rhinitis specific immunotherapy. The general clinical characteristics of the patient's gender, age, whether with asthma, duration of disease, aggravation season, treatment history, surgical history, family history, home environment, etc.were not related to the effectiveness of immunotherapy.
