The Study On The Influencing Factors Of Thirst In Patients With ICU Mechanical Ventilation

Objective:To investigate the current status and influencing factors of thirst in patients with comprehensive ICU mechanical ventilation in a third-class A-level hospital in Lanzhou,Gansu Province.Methods:The study using the convenient sampling method,220 patients treated in the comprehensive ICU treated at Lanzhou University First Hospital of Lanzhou City,Gansu Province from November 2018 to November 2019 were selected as the research objects.SPSS 22.0 software analyzes the incidence and severity of thirst in patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU by descriptive analysis,and explores the influencing factors of thirst in patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU through univariate analysis and binary logistic regression analysis.Results:1.This study analyzed the incidence and degree of thirst in 220 included study subjects.Among them,178 cases were thirsty,accounting for 80.9%,and 42 cases were non-thirsty,accounting for 19.1%.According to the degree of thirst,42 cases were not thirsty,accounting for 19.1%;11 cases were mild thirst,accounting for 5%;52 cases were moderate thirst,accounting for 23.6%;115 cases were severe thirst,accounting for 52.3%.2.This study performed a univariate analysis of thirst in 220 patients included,andthe results showed age,BMI,type of disease,drinking history,family history,mouth shape,CRRT treatment,fluid balance,whether surgery,anxiety,depression,disease severity.There were statistically significant differences in whether to use diuretics,opioids,boosters,whether to use Kailulu,mechanical ventilation time,body temperature,heart rate,blood glucose and temperature(P <0.05).3.This study takes thirst as the dependent variable,and uses the statistically significant index of univariate analysis of patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU as the independent variable.The binary logistic regression analysis is performed using forward stepwise regression method.The results show anxiety,surgery,and blood glucose,Kesailu,opioids,mouth opening morphology and diuretics are the influencing factors of thirst in patients with ICU mechanical ventilation.Conclusion:This study found that the analysis rate of thirst among patients with comprehensive ICU mechanical ventilation in the First Hospital of Lanzhou University of Gansu was high,and thirst was generally high.Patient anxiety,surgery,blood sugar,caesar,opioids,diuretics and mouth morphology are independent risk factors for thirst in patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU.Therefore,it can provide a basis for medical staff to identify thirst early and carry out interventions to prevent thirst.
