Objective:Chimeric antigen receptor T(CAR-T)cell therapy has achieved unprecedented success in blood tumors, but the efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy on solid tumors is not clear.Based on this,we used Meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy on solid tumors. Methods:We searched PubMed,Embase,Cochrane,CNKI,Wanfang and Weip databases which related the treatment of solid tumors with CAR-T cell therapy from inception to February 2020.The quality of the literature was evaluated by the newcastle-ottawa Scale(NOS),and the response rates and 95% confidence intervals(95% CI)of each group were combined with the R software version 3.6.3.Results: Twenty literature studies including 261 patients were included. The results showed that the total response rate of CAR-T cell therapy on solid tumors was 7%(95% CI: 4-10%).Subgroup analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the response rate of CAR-T cell therapy on nervous system tumors and hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors, all of which were 10%,while the efficacy on gastrointestinal malignancy was poor.In addition, different therapeutic factors(total T cell dose, persistence of T cell, transfection method)had no significant effect on the efficacy. Conclusion: CAR-T cell therapy has a certain effect on solid tumors.Although the efficacy on solid tumors is far less than that on blood tumors and it has serious poisonous side effect, with the improvement of its structure and the discovery of more solid tumor targets,CAR-T cell therapy on solid tumors still has a vast development prospect.
