Objective: To explore the influence of respiratory training(RT)on balance function of healthy elderly women, and analyze the correlation between inspiratory muscle function and balance function,so as to provide theoretical basis and practical reference for the improvement of balance function of healthy elderly women by respiratory training. Methods: A randomized controlled study was used in this experiment.Twenty-two healthy elderly women(aged ?60 years)in the community near Lianyungang Changshou hospital were included. The subjects were divided into respiratory training group and sham respiratory training group by random number table grouping method, with 11 in each group. The respiratory training group received 5 times a week of respiratory training, and the sham respiratory training group received 5 times a week of respiratory training without resistance, and the intervention time was 8 weeks.Maximal inspiratory pressure(MIP),peak inspiratory flow(PIF),sway area of body gravity(SA),whole path length(WPL)and stability index(SI)were collected before intervention,2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weeks and 8 weeks, and the data were analyzed.Results:1.After 8 weeks of intervention, the MIP and PIF of respiratory training group were significantly increased(p<0.01),and the difference was statistically significant compared to the sham training group(p<0.01).At baseline, there was no significant difference between the two groups(p>0.05),but there was a significant difference after 2 weeks of intervention(p<0.01).At 4 weeks,6 weeks, and 8 weeks of intervention, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.01).2.After 8 weeks of intervention, the changes of SA,WPL and SI of respiratory training group were statistically significant(p<0.01,p<0.05).Changes in SA,WPL,and SI of the sham respiratory training group were not statistically significant(p> 0.05).Compared with the sham respiratory training group, the changes in SA and SI of the inspiratory muscle training group were statistically significant(p<0.05).3.The change of the subject's MIP was highly correlated with SA,WPL and SI(R=-0.764,R=-0.659,R=0.921).Conclusion: Respiratory training can improve respiratory function of elderly healthy women, enhance their balance ability andreduce the risk of falling injury. As a simple and easy training method,it is worth popularizing.
