Effect Of Injection Of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin On Pregnancy Outcome Of Frozen-thawed Embryo Transfer

Objective: To investigate the effect of injection of human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG)on the pregnancy outcome of infertile patients with frozen-thawed embryo transfer(FET).Methods: The clinical data of 237 infertile patients with FET cycle in the Reproductive Medicine Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from November 2018 to November2019 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the start of intramuscular injection of hCG one day before embryo transfer,the patients were divided into two groups: the hCG group(116 cycles)and the control group(121 cycles).The pregnancy outcomes of the two groups after embryo transfer were analyzed.Results: There was no significant difference in age,infertility time,body mass index,basic follicle stimulating hormone level,endometrial thickness on the day of transplantation and the number of transferred embryos between the two groups(P > 0.05).The ratio of primary infertility/infertility type in the),hCG group was significantly lowerthan that in the control group(P < 0.05).There were significant differences between the two groups in embryo implantation rate(40.3vs 30.4%,p < 0.05),clinical pregnancy rate(55.2 vs 40.5%,p < 0.05),and continued pregnancy rate(49.1 vs 33.1%,p < 0.05).The results of Logistic multivariate regression analysis suggested that the number of excellent embryos transferred and intramuscular injection of hCG were the factors affecting the continuation of pregnancy.Conclusion:intramuscular injection of hCG one day before FET transplantation can significantly improve the pregnancy outcome of infertile patients.
