Discussion On The Controversy And Research Progress Of Lateral Lymphadenectomy For Low Rectal Cancer

Rectal cancer is a common malignant tumor.Surgery is the first choice of treatment,especially minimally invasive surgery for rectal cancer,which is gradually accepted by most surgeons.Lateral lymph node metastasis is also an important factor affecting local recurrence and metastasis.However,there are still some controversies on the implementation of the lateral lymph node dissection in low rectal cancer,such as the necessity of the implementation of the lateral lymph node dissection,the indication and scope of the lateral lymph node dissection in low rectal cancer,which affect its application in the treatment of low rectal cancer.This article reviews the current controversy and research progress of lateral lymphadenectomy for low rectal cancer at home and abroad,in order to provide some reference for related practice and research.
