Analysis Of Physical Properties Of Different Iliac Vein Stents

ObjectiveTo simulate To analyze and compare the physical propertise of three clinical stents(Wallstent,Smart control and Venovo)for the treatment of iliac vein diseases,It provides guidance for the selection of stent for the treatment of iliac vein compression and stenosis in clinic.MethodsThe pressure resistance and bending stress of the three stents(Wallstent,Smart control and Venovo)were measured using a homemade pressurization system.Measuring three stents(Wallstent,Smart control and Venovo)resistance and bending stress,in the digital imaging angiography(DSA)-3D shape under the observation of three stents in the compression and bending deformation,deformation area and deformation by imaje software section long diameter and short diameter measurement,and the relevant data were processed with SPSS 22.,two groups of measuring data with independent sample t-test,three groups and more than three sets of measurement data using analysis of variance.ResultsIn terms of stents’ pressure resistance,Venovo had better resistance to pressure,followed by Smart control,and Wallstent was weaker,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.017).In flexibility Venovo was better,followed by Smart control,and Wallsent was weaker.In the aspect bending deformation,there was no statistically significant difference between the Wallstent and the Smart control when bending to 150° and120°(P>0.017),and the Smart control deformation significantly increased when bending to 90°.However,Venovo was better than the other two stents in terms of compressive resistance,flexibility and bending deformation.ConclusionThere are great differences in mechanical properties of different vascular stents.we are choosing stent in treatment of iliac vein compression and stenosis,we should refer to different mechanics characteristics of these different stents,the bending Angle is small,Smart control and Wallstent have similar bending deformation and can be used,but the compressive performance of Smart control compressive ability and its flexibility is better;However,the Venovo stent has good compression resistance and flexibility,and can be used in severe venous stenosis and large venous curvature.
