Background-Teenagers in nowadays were born in the age of the Internet, they were known as "electronic natives".Their lifestyles and ways of thinking are influenced by the network environment. In the contrast of the past, the growth of teenagers mainly depended on living environment, learning environment and social environment.Purpose-Based on China's special national conditions,it is of practical significance to discuss and analyze the impact of social media on adolescences' negative moods from the perspective of social media contact types. This study divided the contact types of social media into "focused contact" and "unconscious contact".Methods-Questionnaires were distributed in urban and rural middle schools and vocational colleges in the four regions of Nanchang,Jiujiang,Ganzhou and Shangrao,in Jiangxi,N=649.Self-edited scale used to measure the social media contact types, combined with scales that have been tested, contained Beck suicidal ideation scale,UCLA loneliness scale,W.K.Zung anxiety SAS scale.Negative moods of teenagers measured by "loneliness","anxiety","suicide ideas".Findings-Both focused contact and unconscious contact will aggravate the loneliness of adolescents, and unconscious contact has a greater impact on the worsening of loneliness.Anxiety is uncommon among adolescents, but the more focused contact, the less anxious adolescents are.Very few adolescents have suicidal ideation. However, social media exposure does not simply affect suicidal ideation, and basic information such as the adolescents' personal and family information must be considered. On this basis, the greater the exposure to focused social media, the weaker the suicidal ideation; The more unconscious social media exposure, the stronger the suicidal ideation. In addition, the influence degree of social media exposure on teenagers' negative emotions is generally between 8.4% and 30.4%.Conclusions-Unconscious virtual socialization promotes the formation of media dependence in young people;the focused contact method strengthens the social media's instrumental attributes;the lack of media literacy and the lack of media literacy education for young people.Corresponding solutions were proposed: individuals should adjust social media contact behavior;families should weaken social media contact atmosphere;schools should strengthen youth media literacy education society;society should establish youth social media intervention mechanisms.
