Interproximal Enamel Reduction as an important auxiliary method for non-tooth extraction in orthodontic treatment has been widely used in clinical practice.It can solve the problems of mild crowding of patients' dentition and uncoordinated width of upper and lower dentitions,and has the advantages of promoting alignment of dentitions,simplifying the treatment process,and shortening the period of orthodontic treatment.In traditional Interproximal Enamel Reduction,the clinician calculates the amount of Interproximal Enamel Reduction by measuring on the dental mold,and then roughly roughs the patient's teeth.The accuracy of Interproximal Enamel Reduction is low,and the technical level is not compatible with the current widely used digital orthodontic technology.Based on laser scanning technology,3D reconstruction,virtual arrangement technology and 3D printing,this study explores and realizes the digitalization of Interproximal Enamel Reduction in orthodontic treatment.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)After selecting the appropriate cases,applying the basic principles of orthodontics,a process for formulating a digital IER scheme was proposed,and accurately determine the IER area on the virtual dentition and remove enamel thickness.It based on the digital three-dimensional model of dentition,combined with computer-aided design and analysis technology.(2)In order to accurately control the amount of IER,a personalized IER guide based on dentition fixation was designed.The positioning method of the IER guide on the dentition and the three-dimensional model construction technology were studied.3D printing manufacturing process based on the use of the SLA,the placement angle of the IER guide plate printing and the method of adding support were studied,and the process parameters of the IER guide plate printing were obtained.(3)IER guides are used to simulate IER experiments on dental molds.IER tools based on guides are preferred to lay the foundation for clinical application of IER guides.Experiments show that compared with traditional manual IER,IER guides are based on IER guides.The digital IER can effectively avoid the deviation of the adjacent tooth contact surface caused by the deviation of the IER position.In this study,the whole process of IER plan development to the design and production of IER guides was realized.It provides a new method for clinically accurate IER.Clinicalapplication shows that the use of digital technology has significantly improved the efficiency and quality of orthodontic IER,which is of great significance to improve the difficulty and experience of clinical IER.
