Background: Patients with acute ischemic stroke are often accompanied by varying degrees of limb paralysis, language disorder, cognitive dysfunction, depression or anxiety, dysphagia and other neurological abnormalities, and of loss of labor or inability to take care of themselves, which result in a huge burden on patients, families and society. Objective: To intervene early and improve patients' quality of life,a modle is established by the factor might affect prognosis of AIS patients,to predict self-care ability 90 days after the onset of AIS.Methods: 91 first time diagnosed AIS inpatients in the Department of Neurology of the second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2019 to December 2019 were selected. There were 61 males and 30 females with an average age of 59.32 ±9.55 y.The general data such as sex, age, past history, basic vital signs,NIHSS score, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, blood lipid and other laboratory examination results were collected, and the sm RSq score 90 days after onset was followed up.The predictive model of self-care ability was established by exploratory factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Five potential risk factors were identified with exploratory factor analysis(EFA),to predict self-care ability 90 days after AIS.They were named as "left hemisphere function(right motor arm, right motor leg, language)","right hemisphere and cerebellum function(left motor arm, left motor leg, ataxia)","lipid(total cholesterol,LDL-C)"," blood glucose(glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting blood glucose at admission, year of diabetes)",and " gender characteristics(gender, year of smoking × daily smoking amount, homocysteine)".These factors contributed 51% of the cumulative variance.Five potential risk factors were included in the multiple linear regression analysis.combining with them function,a risk prediction model of self-care ability 90 days after the onset of AIS was got:(self-care ability 90 days after the onset of AIS)= 0.0605 × right motor arm + 0.0605 × right motor leg + 0.0355 × left motor arm + 0.0308 × left motor leg + 0.028 × language + 0.0235 ×ataxia +0.0495 × total cholesterol + 0.0405 × low density lipoprotein cholesterol + 0.0138 × glycosylated hemoglobin + 0.0125 × fasting blood glucose at admission + 0.0111 × year of diabetes + 0.0004 ×gender + 0.0002 ×year of smoking × daily smoking amount + 0.0001 × homocysteine-0.4712794.Conclusions: With the help of EFA,it is easily to found that left hemisphere function, right hemisphere and cerebellum function, blood glucose and gender characteristics were potential risk factors affecting self-care ability of AIS patients 90 days after diagnosis. And multivariate linear retrospective analysis makes the model of self-care ability 90 days after the onset of AIS possible.
