Objective: To summarize the clinical characteristics and consequence of candidemia in hematological patients and find out the relative risk factorsMethods: Retrospective analysis of candida bloodstream infection in our hospital from 2014 to 2018 was conducted, the clinical data including the treatment and prognosis of patients with candidemia confirmed in hematology department were summarized, and then the characteristics, possible risk factors and outcome of these candida bloodstream infection were analyzedResults: During the observation period, candidemia were found in 40 patients with hematological disorder in our department.Unlike those happened in other departments of our hospital,Candida tropicalis is the most common Candida species rather than Candida albicans(47.5% vs 22.5%).The analysis of clinical data did not reveal why high incidence of Candida tropicalis candidemia happened in haematological patients, the application of chemotherapy drugs, steroid, mucosal injury, catheter implanted, and complications such as diabetes were uncorrelated with high incidence of tropicalis candidemia, but neutropenia(P = 0.037)and the application of carbapenems for bacteria were the relative risk factors(P = 0.037).There was no significant difference in the extend of hazard and the difficulty of handling between the Candida tropicalis candidemia and Candida albicans candidemia. Conclusion: Candida tropicalis is the main pathogene in candidemia of haematological patients,Neutropenia and history of usage of carbapenem antibiotics are relative risk factors. The correlation with other clinical factors needs to be further invegated. The mortality rate of candidemia is high in hematological patents, which needs to be effectively prevented.
