Objective: With combined application of medical infrared thermography and coronary angiography,to observe the characteristics of precordial infrared thermography in patients with coronary heart disease, and to study the correlation between the degree of coronary stenosis and the temperature difference between left and right sides of the chest,so as to research the value of medical infrared thermography in diagnosing coronary heart disease. Methods: 144 patients with suspected coronary heart disease who require a clear diagnosis of coronary angiography were examined by infrared thermography in the anterior thoracic region.Save the infrared image, and calculate and record the temperature difference between left and right chest wall(?T= average temperature of left precordial region-average temperature of right symmetrical region). And complete the coronary angiography within 12 hours.According to the angiography results, they were divided into coronary heart disease group(CHD group)and control group.Compare thermographic features between two groups and use the Gensini score to assess the degree of coronary artery disease in patients with coronary heart disease, and analyze the correlation between ?T and Gensini score. Results: The selected patients were confirmed by coronary angiography, and 64 patients were enrolled in the CHD group and 80 patients in the control group. The bilateral skin temperatures in the control group were basically symmetrical,or the left side was slightly higher than the right side,?T(°C)=0.1560±0.24066;while the temperature distribution on both sides of the chest in CHD group were asymmetric, the temperature in the left anterior cardiac area were lower than the right,?T(°C)=-0.1631±0.33839,and the ?T of the two groups were statistically different(P <0.001).In the CHD group,?T were significantly negatively correlated with the Gensini score(r=-0.601,P<0.001),that is,as the degree of coronary artery disease became worse, the temperature of the left anterior cardiac region was lower than that of the right. Conclusion: Patients with coronary heart disease, whose left precordial area temperature is lower than the right in infrared thermography, have a characteristic performance. The more serious the degree of coronary artery disease is,the more obvious the temperature of the left anterior cardiac area is lower than that of the right. The medical infrared thermography has a certain referential significance for the early diagnosis of coronary heart disease, and it can be used as one of the primary screening methods for diagnosing coronary heart disease,as well as indicating the degree of coronary artery disease to a certain extent.
