Objectives To compare the follow-up observation of adolescents wearing Euclidean night-wearing orthokeratology and the analysis of related data of adolescent myopia patients who wore conventional spectacles,and explore the effects of night-wearing orthokeratology on myopic refractive power,the naked eyesight,the effects of eyeball parameters,and the clinical effects of delaying the development of myopia in adolescents.The target of this research is to have a deeper understanding of the orthokeratology,provide objective and correct evaluation for the orthokeratology,providing further supplement relevant clinical data for the orthokeratology,and provide a theoretical basis for correctly and healthy wearing of orthokeratology.Methods Based on the purpose of this trial,90 patients were selected,who were treated in the ophthalmology department of our hospital from January 2017 to June 2017.According to the different methods of night-wearing orthokeratology to control the progress of myopia in adolescents,90 patients according to their own intentions were divided into two groups: orthokeratology group and frame-wearing group,45 people in each group.There was no significant difference in the general information of patients which means was comparable statistically.Patients wearing the orthokeratology group need to wear night-type orthokeratology lenses during their 8-10 hour sleep,and patients wearing the frame glasses group need to wear frame glasses normally in day time.Anterior corneal curvature(ACC),Spherical equivalent refraction(SE),and uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA)of the two groups of patients over 1 month,3months,6 months and 1 year of time wearing glasses and cornea surface conditions were comprehensively compared,and multiple data information was collected by recording to perform statistical analysis.Results The naked eye vision of the patients wearing the orthokeratology showed a gradual improvement.In the first three months,the naked eye vision has been steadily improved.After one year,the naked eye vision has increased greatly.There was no big change on the naked eye vision of the patients wearing frame glasses in the first month.In the first three months,the naked eye vision of the patients wearing frame glasses showed a downward trend.After one year,the naked eye vision decreased greatly.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparing the diopter of patients wearing orthokeratology,there existed a very obvious downward trend between before wearing and after wearing,.The comparison of the diopters of patients wearing frame glasses showed that the diopters showed an increasing trend after wearing,and the difference between the two groups of patients was statistically significant(P<0.05).This article also analyzed the horizontal and vertical corneal curvature of the two groups of patients.Before and after wearing the orthokeratology lens,the regrouped patients showed a significant downward trend,while those wearing frame glasses showed an increasing trend.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The axial length of glasses in the orthokeratology group has increased 0.15 mm after wearing the orthokeratology,and the axial length of glasses in the frame group has increased 0.36 mm after wearing frame glasses.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in intraocular pressure,corneal endothelial cell count and central corneal thickness(P>0.05).Conclusions Taking the high incidence group of adolescent myopia as the research object,wearing a corneal orthopedic lens and spectacles according to their own intentions.The study compared and analyzed the clinical effects of adolescent myopia control at different time points between the two groups.The night-wearing orthokeratology lens can safely and effectively reduce the patient's diopter than frame glasses,improve the naked eye vision,and prevent the axis from growing.Under the premise of fully grasping the fitting procedures and fitting techniques of night-wearing orthokeratology,medical therapists could use the orthokeratology scientifically on controlling the progress of adolescent myopia.This behavior has clinical significance and should be promoted.Figure 4;Table 17;Reference 149.
