Objective: To evaluate the liver stiffness measurement(LSM)of normal people before and after diet by using real-time shear wave elastography(SWE),and to explore the effect of diet on liver elasticity,so as to provide a reliable basis for clinical evaluation of liver hardness.Methods: 54 healthy volunteers were selected and given 480 ml of a standard meal containing 391 kcal,clinical and conventional ultrasound was used to exclude liver occupying and diffuse lesions,etc.Shear wave imaging was used to measure liver young's modulus values before meals and after meals at 30 min,60min,90 min and 120 min,and the diameter and velocity of portal vein were measured by conventional ultrasound.Results: 1.52 volunteers were included.The LSM was 4.66±0.65 kpa before meal,4.92±0.69 kpa at 30 minutes after meal,which was higher than baseline LSM(P<0.05),5.02±0.92 kpa at 60 minutes after meal,which was higher than that before meal(P<0.05),4.54±0.68 kpa at 90 minutes,no difference compared with that before meal(P>0.05),and 120 min was 4.21±0.58 kpa,less than that before meal(P<0.05);2.75% of the volunteers reached the peak of liver hardness 30 minutes or 60 minutes after meal.The LSM increased by more than 20% in 31%,increased by less than 20% in 48%,and remained or decreased in 21%;3.The blood flow volume of portal vein was 692.02±130.69ml/min before meal,and reached the maximum value of 776.41±151.45ml/min at 30 min after meal;4.The mean Young's modulus of liver in men before and after meal was higher than that in women,the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05);5.Age and BMI had no effect on LSM(P>0.05),there was no correlation between the baseline value of portal vein blood flow and LSM,the change of portal vein blood flow and LSM change volume,the baseline value of LSM and LSM change volume(P>0.05).Conclusion: Diet has an effect on the young's modulus of liver.In order to avoid the effect,it is suggested to use real-time shear wave elastic imaging to measure the young's modulus of liver on an empty stomach.
