Objective: To compare the biomechanical properties of new enoxaparin sodium cement and common bone cement in rabbits.Methods: Twenty rabbits were randomly divided into two groups: group A and group B,with 10 rabbits in each group.The left hind limb of group A was recorded as group A1,and the new enoxaparin sodium cement rectangular specimen with the best proportion was implanted.The right hind limb was recorded as group A2,and the ordinary bone cement rectangular specimen was implanted.The left hind limb of group B was recorded as group B1,and the new enoxaparin sodium cement cylindrical specimen with the best proportion was implanted.The right hind limb was recorded as group B2,Cylinder specimen of implanted ordinary bone cement,One day later,five rabbits were randomly selected from group A and group B,and the in vivo specimens were taken out.Group a specimens were subjected to four-point bending test to calculate the bending modulus and bending strength of each specimen,and paired samples t test was carried out respectively.The difference was statistically significant with P< 0.05.Group B specimens were subjected to axial compression test to calculate the compression strength of each specimen,and paired samples t test was carried out with P < 0.05 as the difference 4 weeks later,take out the remaining rabbits in group A and B,and repeat the above experiment.Resu Its: At the first day,the bending modulus and bending strength of A1 group were(2.28 ± 0.05)GPa,(97.95 ± 0.32)MPa,and those of A2 group were(2.49±0.13)GPa,(99.86±0.47)MPa,respectively.There was no statistical difference between the two groups,P > 0.05.The compression strength of B1 group was(88.75±0.42)MPa,and that of B2 group was(90.17±0.39)MPa.There was no statistical difference between the two groups.At 4 weeks,the bending modulus and bending strength of group A1 were(2.05±0.10)GPa,(94.24±0.29)MPa,respectively,and those of group A2 were(2.44±0.23)GPa,(98.58±0.35)MPa,respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups,P > 0.05.The compression strength of group B1 was(86.21±0.22)MPa,that of group B2 was(91.67±0.54)MPa,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).Condusion: The mechanical properties of the new enoxaparin bone cement with the best proportion implanted in the rabbit did not change significantly,which met the biomechanical requirements of clinical application.
