| Objective:Cavus foot refers to the arch of the foot increased abnormally and cannot be flattened when loading.Anterior Cavus foot is common in clinic but the department of neurology has no specific treatment for this kind of malformation and surgical intervention is often needed.The study aims to investigate the clinical effect of Lapidus operation and Jones operationon patients with anterior cavusfoot.It is significant to guide the treatment of anterior cavus foot.Methods: The clinical data of 21 feet from 21 patients with anterior cavusfoot were retrospective analyzed in our hospital between June 2017 and January 2019.Clinical outcome were evaluated according to American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)comprehensive scoring system of hallux and ankle-hindfoot,whereas Meary angle and talar angle of first metatarsal were used to assess the radiological outcomes.Results: All patients were followed up for 12~15 months,with an average of12.87±1.25 months.The AOFAS hallux score was(58.93±4.32)points before operation,(95.73±2.52)points 12 months after operation,the AOFAS ankle-hindfoot score was(72.13±4.58)points before operation,(95.73±1.34)points 12 months after operation,the difference was statistically significant(t =-52.7,p<0.01;t =-24.84,p<0.01).Through the X-ray,the Meary angle decreased from 19.72±1.99 degree to11.15±2.09 degree and talar angle of first metatarsal decreased from-21.28±2.30 degree to-3.32±0.54 degree postoperatively on average,the Meary angle was close to normal value and talar angle of first metatarsal returned to normal(t =72.24,p<0.01;t =-34.73,p<0.01).Conclusion: The Lapidus operation and Jones operation can correct the anterior cavusfoot deformity,the foot force line was basically restored to normal,the pain was relieved and the foot function was obviously improved after the opetation. |
