Objective:The aim of this study is to analyze the influencing factors of emergency cervical cerclage on pregnancy outcomes. Methods:Pregnant women who underwent emergency cervical cerclage at Sheng Jing Hospital of China Medical University between February 2012 and September 2019 were included in this retrospective study. The 174 participants were grouped by gestational age: 79 patients delivered before 28 weeks gestation, and 95 patients delivered at or after 28 weeks gestation.Univariate and multivariable logistic analyses were conducted to identify influencing factors of emergency cervical cerclage on pregnancy outcomes. Results: :Of 174 patients,50 had a twin pregnancy and 2 had a triplet pregnancy.A total of 228 babies were born,141 of whom survived(61.84%).The mean gestational age at delivery was 28.29 ± 5.21 weeks. The mean interval between cerclage and delivery was 4.81 ± 4.97 weeks. We found a significant difference between the two groups in preoperative CRP,postoperative white blood cell count, postoperative neutrophil count, postperative CRP,gestational age at cerclage, protrusion of fetal membranes, cervical dilatation ?2 cm,and cervical dilatation ?4 cm(P < 0.05).Independent influencing factors include preoperative CRP(OR = 1.057),postoperative white blood cell count(OR = 1.159),and gestational age at cerclage(OR = 0.758)(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Emergency cervical cerclage is an effective method to prolong pregnancy and improve neonatal outcome.Preoperative CRP,postoperative white blood cell count, postoperative neutrophil count, postoperative CRP,gestational age at cerclage, protrusion of fetal membranes, and cervical dilatation can help predict the success rate of emergency cervical cerclage.
