Objective:To explore whether the occurrence of mesh exposure is related to factors such as diabetes, bleeding volume, the retention of the uterus, weight, age. Methods:The data of patients underwent transvaginal mesh surgery from 2016.01 to2017.12 were collected and divided into exposed and non-exposed groups through postoperative outpatient review results. The two groups were compared for diabetes, bleeding volume, the retention of the uterus, weight and age,The t-test or Mann-Whitney U test was used and the Chi-square test was used for the qualitative data to investigate whether there was statistical significance and to explore the risk factors of mesh exposure.Results:300 patients underwent transvaginal mesh surgery from January 2016 to December 2017,279 cases were successfully followed up.Among them,36 cases were included into exposed group. The incidence was 12.90%,270 patients are menopausal patients,34 of them were exposed,9 patients are non-menopausal patients, and 2 of them were exposed.1.Diabetes are related to mesh exposure(X2=6.833,P=0.009);2.There is a correlation between bleeding volume during surgery and mesh exposure(Z=-2.116,P=0.034)3.There is no significant correlation between age and mesh exposure(P<0.05but data on age as an independent risk factor for mesh exposure are conflicting)4.There is no significant correlation between the retention of the uterus and mesh exposure.(diabetic group X~2=0.838,P=0.36,non-diabetic group X~2=0.625P=0.429)5.There is no significant correlation between weight and mesh exposure(P>0.05).Conclusion:There is a significant correlation between mesh exposure and diabetes, bleeding volume during surgery, and there was no significant correlation with age,the retention of the uterus and weight.
