Objective:To study the expression of placental growth factor?PLGF?in human femoral artery plaque, and to explore the mechanism of PLGF in peripheral arterial disease of lower extremity,so as to provide new ideas for the treatment of lower extremity ischemic disease. Methods:In this study, all patients in the experimental group passed preoperative examinations such as CTA,ABI and DSA,the diagnosis of arteriosclerosis obliterans of the lower extremities was confirmed.30 samples?15 males and 15 females, average age:65.97±6.64 years old?of arterioplaques of the lower extremities were collected In;the control group,15 cases??male 10,female 5,average age:61.00±9.26years old??of femoral artery samples were collected from patients who underwent repair of femoral artery bypass after injury of femoral artery without intermittent claudication before operation.Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of placental growth factor. Results:Immunohistochemistry showed that Pl GF expression level in the control group(0.0005±1.52×10-7)was significantly smaller?P<0.05?than that of atherosclerotic plaque group(0.0388±1.1×10-3).The results of Western blotting showed that the expression level of PLGF in arterial plaque was significantly higher than that in control group?P<0.05?.Conclusion:1)The high expression of placental growth factor in the vascular wall of lower extremity artery plaque disease suggests that placental growth factor may be a predictive index of ASO diagnosis and has a certain clinical application prospect;2)The expression of placental growth factor may be related to the severity of peripheral arterial disease.
