Purpose:This is a study exploring the effects of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation?TEAS?on gastrointestinal function recovery after radical gastrectomy. Methods:A total of 60 patients with radical gastric cancer surgery were selected from November 2018 to November 2019 in Yan'an University Affiliated Hospital. The age was ?18 years old,ASA grade was I-III.The patients were divided into two groups by random number table method: TEAS group and control group.TEAS group: Bilateral Zusanli,Shangjuxu and Neiguan acupoints were performed once every 7 a.m.-11 a.m.within 3 days after operation,30 minutes each time,2Hz dense waves and 10 – 30 mA were selected;the control group operates the same as the TEAS group, but does not turn on the power. The patient entered the room, after repeated verification by the three parties, routine monitoring of ECG,pulse oximetry,non-invasive blood pressure of the upper limbs, radial artery catheterization to monitor upper extremity invasive arterial blood pressure, and monitoring of patient anesthesia depth?BIS?,end-tidal carbon dioxide Partial pressure(PETCO2),pulmonary protection ventilation strategy, and postoperative patient-controlled intravenous analgesia?PCIA?.The general condition of each group was observed and recorded?gender, age, weight, operation time, intraoperative bleeding, volume of fluid rehydration, urine volume?.Some values are recorded such as the first anal exhaust time, anal defecation time, drinking feeding time, activity time, the length of hospitalization, incidence of complications, and the abdominal pain score, abdominal distension score, nausea and vomiting score within 3 days after operation.Results:1.There was no significant in age, weight, anesthesia duration, operation duration and other data between the two groups?P > 0.05?.2.The time of the first anal exhaust defecation and the time of eating and drinking in the TEAS group were earlier than those in the control group, and the incidence of postoperative complications was lower than that in the control group, and it was statistical significant?P < 0.05?.There was no significant difference in the time of first out of bed activity and hospital stay between the two groups?P > 0.05?.3.The pain scores of the patients in the TEAS group at 3 days after surgery were not statistically significant compared with the control group?P > 0.05?.The scores of nausea and vomiting in the patients of TEAS group were not statistically different from those at the first day after surgery?P > 0.05?.There was a statistical difference on the 2nd and 3rd day?P > 0.05?.The postoperative abdominal distension score of patients in the TEAS group was compared with the control group. There was no statistical difference on the 1st day?P > 0.05?,and there was a statistical difference on the 2nd and 3rd day.?P < 0.05?.Conclusion:TEAS can promote the early recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with radical gastric cancer after surgery, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and can be a safe and effective treatment. |
