Objective To investigate the expression significance of heat shock protein 90(HSP90)and Polo-like kinase 1(PLK1)proteins in gliomas and the correlation expressed by them in glioma tissues.Methods From January 2014 to December 2018,145 glioma tissue specimens of different pathological grades and 10 normal brain tissue specimens were examined with HE staining.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of HSP90,PLK1 and Ki-67 in glioma tissues,and to analyze the correlation between the expression of HSP90 and PLK1 in glioma tissues.The correlation between these two proteins and the pathological grades of glioma was also analyzed.Results In different tissue samples,HE staining showed different cell morphological characteristics.The expression levels of HSP90,PLK1,and Ki-67 in gliomas were higher than those in normal brain tissues by ?2 test.After statistical analysis,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Ki-67 was not expressed in normal brain tissue,but the positive expression rates in different grades of glioma tissues of ?/?,?,and ? were 39.13%,69.39%,and 86.00%,respectively,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.01).Two cases of HSP90 were weakly positively expressed in normal brain tissue,with high expression rates of 36.96%,69.39%,and 50.00%in different grades of glioma tissues of ?/?,?,and ?,respectively,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.01).PLK1 was negatively expressed in normal brain tissue,and the high expression rates in different grades of glioma tissues of ?/?,? and ? were 47.83%,83.67%and 90.00%,respectively,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.01).The Ki-67 positive group had a higher PLK1 score than the negative group,The PLK1 score was higher than the negative group in Ki-67 positive group,which was statistically significant(P<0.01).Spearman correlation analysis showed that there was a moderate positive correlation between HSP90 and PLK1 protein expression in glioma tissues(r=0.438,p<0.01).Conclusion With the increase of gliomas pathological grades,the expression levels of HSP90 and PLK1 proteins in gliomas are higher than lower-grades,and they are closely related to the prognosis of the disease.In glioma tissues,there is a moderate positive correlation between HSP90 and PLK1 expression,that is,as the expression of HSP90 is up-regulated,the expression of PLK1 is up-regulated.
