Objects: To observe the safety and short-term efficacy of interventional chemoembolization with using drug-eluting microspheres of domestic CalliSpheres in the treatment of patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods: A total of 22 patients were enrolled in our department fromJune 2017 to June 2019.The patient's clinical data,preoperative and postoperative laboratory index changes,Postoperative complications,and imaging data were analyzed.The efficacy evaluation was based on modified response evaluation criteria in solid tumors(mRECIST).Results: All patients were successfully treated with drug-eluting microspheres of domestic CalliSpheres.On the third day after operation,the levels of TBIL,ALT and AST were higher than preoperative ones,and the difference was statistically significant.One month after the treatment,there was no significant difference in the values of AST and ALT compared with preoperative ones,but there was a statistically significant difference in the values of TBIL.However,In most patients,TBIL are lower than preoperative data.According to the mRECIST criteria,the disease remission rates CR+PR at 1,3,and 6 months were 86.3%,68.2%,and 50%,respectively.The disease control rate CR+PR+SD were 86.3%,81.8%,and 68.2%,respectively.Postoperative complications were mainly fever and abdominal pain.Among them,2 patients had postoperative hyperthermia,4 had severe abdominal pain symptoms,and 1 patient had hepatic abscess during postoperative follow-up.Symptoms disappeared after symptomatic treatment.The remaining patients had no or only mild adverse events and had a short duration.Conclusions: CalliSpheres has good safety and short-term efficacy,and long-term efficacy still needs further multi-center,large-sample clinical studies to verify.
