Object: Evaluation the protective effect of sulfobutyl ether-?-cyclodextrin on acute kidney injury induced by iodine contrast agent using Intravoxel Incoherent Motion and Blood Oxygen Level-Dependent imaging techniquesMethods: 56 healthy male New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into 4groups,14 in each group.Control group(group A): injection of the same amount of normal saline;SBECD group(group B): injection of sulfobutyl ether-?-cyclodextrin;Iodixanol group(group C):Rabbits were subjected to the contrast agent according to the5 g I/kg standard;Iodixanol +SEBCD group(D group): The intravenous injection of iodol:sbecd was carried out at the ratio of 1:0.025.The BOLD-MRI and ivim-mri functional MRI scans were repeated in each group of experimental rabbits(n = 5)at 1h,24 h,48h and 72 h after pre-treatment,and blood samples were collected from ear vein to analyze serum creatinine at each time point;At the end of each time point,three rabbits were randomly selected and killed,and the kidneys were left for pathological and immunohistochemical analysis.Results: The results showed that compared with group C,the serum creatinine of group D decreased significantly(P < 0.05)at 24 h,48h and 72 h after injection and the difference is statistically significant,there was no difference in parameters of serum creatinine and fMRI between group A and group B(P > 0.05)at each time point;1h injection of iodoxalol,the R2* value of renal cortex and medulla began to increase,while D value,D* value and f value began to decrease,and the value of D* decreased to the lowest;Compared with group C,R2 * value of renal cortex and medulla in group D decreased slightly,D value,D * value and f value increased,but there was no significant difference;At 24 hours after injection of iodoxalol,the value of R2* in renal cortex and medulla increased to the highest,while the value of D and f decreased to the lowest;Compared with group C,R2* value of renal cortex and medulla in group D decreased significantly and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.040;P=0.014),while D value increased significantly(P=0.018;P=0.048),the value of D* increased but there was no statistical difference,the value of f increased and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.08;P=0.044).At 72 hours,the R2* value of renal cortex in group D was still lower than that in group C,but there was no significant difference between the two groups,while the R2* value in renal medulla in group D was lower than that in group C,and there was significant difference between the two groups(P=0.048),Compared with group C,the D value of kidney in group D was higher but not statistically significant.At72 hours,there was no significant difference in the f value of renal cortex between each group,The f value of renal medulla in group C was still lower than that in group A and there was statistical difference(P=0.032).Conclusions: Functional magnetic resonance BOLD and IVIM techniques can effectively and accurately evaluate the protective effect of SBECD on acute renal injury induced by iodine contrast agent,To some extent,SBECD can effectively reduce the acute renal injury caused by iodoxalol.
