| Objective:We aimed to investigate the value of serum cystatin C(Cys C)in early renal function evaluation and ventricular remodeling in children with cardiomyopathy.Method:(1)We enrolled 17 children with cardiomyopathy diagnosed in the pediatric outpatient department and inpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University in the past 9 years.According to the Cys C value, the study subjects were divided into an increased Cys C group(CysC> 0.95 mg / l,n = 8)and Cys C normal group(CysC ≦ 0.95 mg / l,n = 9),Record left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),E / A,left atrial diameter(LAD),left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDd),left ventricular end diastolic volume(LVEDV),and left ventricular end-systolic volume LVESV),interventricular septal thickness(IVS),right ventricular diameter(RVD),and comparison among groups.(2)Select children with dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM)and establish the correlation between Cys C and the above cardiac measurements.(3)17 cases of children were compared with outpatient health check-ups,Serum Cys C,serum urea nitrogen(BUN),and serum creatinine(SCr)were measured for renal function indicators, and the differences between the two groups were compared. The above research results were all analyzed by SPSS 25,and p <0.05 was considered statistically significant.Result:(1)Compared with the normal Cys C group,LVEDd(55.75±14.63 V.S 43.71±8.07 mg/l)、LVEDV(133.88±74.77 V.S 64.51±32.5 mg/l)and LVESV(89.88±56.68 V.S 33.24±23.35 mg/l)were significantly higher in the group with elevated Cys C(P <0.05),There was no significant difference in other indicators.(2)Cys C levels in children with DCM were positively correlated with LAD(r = 0.826),LVEDd(r = 0.875),and LVESV(r = 0.738)(P <0.05),while there was no correlation with LVEF,E / A,LVEDV,IVS,and RVD(P > 0.05).(3)Compared with normal children, children with cardiomyopathy had statistically significant differences in serum Cys C(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in urea nitrogen(BUN)and creatinine(SCr)(P> 0.05).Conclusion :(1)This study believes that elevated serum Cys C levels are related to ventricular remodeling in children with DCM.Participation in ventricular remodeling may be related to the size of the ventricle, but not significantly related to the wall thickness.(2)In children with cardiomyopathy, when BUN and SCr are still in the normal range, the serum Cys C of some children has increased, suggesting that Cys C can reflect the early renal function status more sensitively than BUN and SCr. |
