The pronoun of adults is "independence","maturity" and other powerful words. If they show the fear of animals, they are likely to be labeled with "timidity","cowardice","personality problems" and other negative labels.Their "fear" can not be understood and tolerated by the outside world, and they can not easily release their fear under various constraints ? These situations will bring them a lot of negative effects, but they can not get the active attention.Although animal fear can improve self-protection awareness,it has more disadvantages. It will not only damage the self-esteem and self-confidence of individuals, affect their life and work, but also affect their behavior and social adaptability. For this problem, scholars in different fields, including medicine and psychology, have put forward their own views and carried out practical exploration, but there are shortcomings. At present, the existing research focuses more on eliminating the patients' fear symptoms and behaviors, but less on other aspects, such as focusing on the patients' heart and ability improvement. In view of the current situation of domestic application, based on the perspective of social work, researchers try to combine systematic desensitization therapy and case social work to explore various aspects of adult animal fear.Based on the related principles and technical steps of systemic desensitization therapy, through a large number of literature analysis and in-depth interviews, this study intervened in the case of "fear of dogs by adults",assisted the case owner to solve the problem, improved the self-confidence of the case owner and the ability to deal with the problem, and reduced his anxiety. At last,it gives some suggestions for further research. This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the research background and questions. This study is mainly based on the following three backgrounds: first, there are a large number of adults with animal fear, and this group is faced with many problems in life, psychology and other aspects, such as the uncomfortable fear, the label of timidity and so on.Second, there is a lack of research on this issue.Third, this group needs to change the current situation, understand their animal fear, master the methods and skills to deal with animal fear, overcome the fear response and get out of the dilemma, which is the necessity of systematic desensitization therapy and social work intervention. The second part is literature review, which mainly summarizes the understanding and intervention of animal fear from different scholars and academic perspectives,as well as the concept, technology, existing changes and application of systematic desensitization therapy, and makes research comments. The third part is the research significance, mainly from the practical significance and theoretical significance of two aspects. The fourth part is the research design, mainly introduces the ideas, methods and tools of this study. The fifth part is the intervention process to the case owner, first of all,it is the preliminary evaluation and interview to the case owner;secondly,it is to learn relaxation training and set the fear level;then it is to truly reproduce the fear situation according to the fear level, and help the case owner overcome the fear situation and psychological problems through relaxation, encouragement, support, demonstration and other technologies, while improving the case owner's sense of self-efficacy and ability to deal with problems Finally,we reflect on the whole intervention process, through the desensitization results, self and others' evaluation and the pre and post evaluation of the scale questionnaire, put forward the effectiveness and shortcomings of this case. The sixth part is the reflection and summary of the whole research.
