Objective:To observe the effect of music therapy combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy on the activities of daily living of patients with ischemic stroke.Methods:Sixty-six patients with ischemic stroke who underwent rehabilitation in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical College were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group received conventional comprehensive rehabilitation therapy+music therapy,while the control group received conventional comprehensive rehabilitation therapy.The modified Barthel index(MB1)was used to evaluate the activities of daily living(ADL)of patients before and 6 weeks after treatment.Results:Before treatment,there was no significant difference in MBI scores and grades between the two groups(P>0.05);After 6 weeks of treatment,the MBI scores and grades of the two groups were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05);The scores of each item and the grade difference between the two groups after treatment and before treatment were compared,there was no significant difference in the scores and grades of eating,grooming,bathing and transfer of bed and chair(P>0.05),there were significant differences in the scores and grades of changing clothes,going to the toilet,walking and going up and down stairs(P<0.05).Conclusion:music therapy combined with conventional rehabilitation comprehensive treatment is helpful to improve the daily life activity of patients with ischemic stroke,and can be used as a new type of auxiliary rehabilitation treatment.
