With the rapid economic development and the significant improvement in the living standards of residents,the incidence of dental diseases and the rate of consultations are getting higher and higher.Dental diseases have become a common and frequently-occurring disease.And people are more concerned about their own dental health issues than in the past when their awareness of tooth protection was weak.Dental X-ray image analysis plays an important role in dental clinical diagnosis,treatment and surgery for the reason that dental Xray images can be used to observe hidden tooth structures,malignant or benign parts,bone loss and tooth decay,etc.In the process of root canal treatment,caries diagnosis,orthodontic diagnosis and treatment,dental X-ray image analysis must be performed.Because the image data itself is more complicated,for previous research of dental medical image,the issues considered are relatively simple and the research methods are relatively simple.And it is difficult to provide practically available diagnostic information from the analysis results.With the continuous development of image processing technology and deep learning technology and the improvement of computing power,it has been able to carry out more accurate research and analysis of dental medical images.Based on this,this paper researches and analyzes the dental X-ray panoramic images that are widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases.The purpose of this study is to use image processing technology to extract and analyze dental pathological panorama data from dental X-ray panoramas.It is the morphology and structure of the tooth,the texture information of the tooth image,the number of teeth,the position angle of the tooth,and the size of the tooth.The analysis of these data can help the dentist to assist in the diagnosis of dental diseases,and alleviate the shortage of dentists and dental medical resources to a certain extent.The main research process of the paper is as follows:To begin with,the paper researches and analyzes the current situation of dental medical imaging analysis at home and abroad,and explain clearly the role and significance of the construction of dental pathological panoramic data.According to the image data generated by the actual treatment,the annotation processing is performed and we discussed the types and characteristics of dental pathological panoramic data.Secondly,based on dental X-ray panoramic images,the tooth segmentation and the tooth position identification are researched.This process is handled by using deep learning image segmentation models and object detection models.During the experiment,we discussed the effects of optimization algorithms,loss function and pre-training model on the experimental results and the best is selected to optimize the model,and then the experimental results are analyzed and discussed at different levels.Finally,for the problem of visualization of the tooth segmentation results and the texture information of a single tooth image,the choice of experimental methods is discussed.And the experimental results are obtained using the selected experimental methods.After comprehensive analysis of all experimental results,the dental pathological panoramic data are analyzed and summarized.
