Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)is a non-invasive method to investigate the whole brain, has become one of the most commonly used techniques in brain science research Ultra-high field(UHF)MR can provide higher signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)and stronger image contrast,is promising in achieving high-resolution imaging and promoting basic neuroscience research and clinical diseases research. On the other hand, the rehesus macaque brain and the human brain has similar characteristics in microstructure and functional organization,so that the UHF MR Neuroimaging study over non-human primate brains is of great significance to promote basic neuroscience research. In addition, the MRI study based on rat brain disease model is also conducive to the pathophysiology mechanism study of clinical brain diseases, which can greatly helpful to the process of translating the basic research results into clinical applicationThe main contents of the paper include;(1)The UHF MR high-resolution diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)over macaque brain. We used the RESOLVE sequence based on diffusion-weighted(DW)readout-segmented echo planar imaging(rsEPI)to evaluate the SNR and geometric distortion of rsEPI DW images in order to find an optimized protocol for high-resolution DTI.Then we applied it in submillimeter-level isotropic resolution DTI data acquisition and demonstrated the feasibility of submillimeter-level isotropic spatial resolution DTI over macaque brain in vivo at UHF.(2)Achieving phased array radio frequency(RF)coil design for small animal imaging and application on disease models. We proposed the RF coil design and evaluated its SNR and parallel imaging performance. Then we applied it in susceptibility-weighted imaging(SWI)and quantitative susceptibility mapping(QSM)of intracranial hemorrhage(ICH)and traumatic brain injury(TBI)models on rat brain, which can promote the translation of basic research results such as clinical disease treatment into clinical applications...
