A Split-face Research On The Application Of Er:YAG Laser Combined With Nd:YAG Laser In Face Rejuvenation

Objectives:The efficacy and safety of Er:YAG laser combined with Nd:YAG laser in facial rejuvenation are studied by Split-face model.Methods:Twenty-three subjects requiring facial rejuvenation treatment were selected,and the subjects 'face was divided into a treatment side and a control side by lottery.Er:YAG laser combined with Nd:YAG laser was used in the treatment side,in which smooth mode,frac3 mode and Piano mode were treated once every two weeks,three times in total;and Superficial mode was treated once every four weeks,two times in total.The control side was not treated.Visual analogue scale(VAS)was used to evaluate the pain during the treatment period.All subjects were examined the self assessment of patient's satisfaction,photographed by the digital camera and VISIA skin image analyzer before the first treatment and 2 weeks after the completion of all treatment.Digital photos were measured by Photoshop CS6 and Auto CAD software,and the associated adverse reactions during treatment and follow-up were recorded.Results:VISIA measurement indicators and computer-aided photo measurement indicators:On the treatment side,there was a statistically significant difference in speckle,red zone,pore,face lifting degree(AB,AC),eyelid crease width,and nasolabial sulcus length before the first treatment and 2 weeks after the last treatment(P<0.05);while there was no statistical difference in wrinkle,eyebrow height,and under-eye puffiness(P>0.05).On the control side,there was no statistical difference between the indicators before the first treatment and 2 weeks after the last treatment(P>0.05).Before the first treatment,there was no statistical difference between the treatment side and the control side(P>0.05);two weeks after the last treatment,there was statistical difference between the treatment side and the control side(P<0.05)in speckle,pore,face lifting degree AC,and there was no statistical difference in other indicators(P>0.05).For patients' satisfaction score,the scores of each indicator were statistically different before the first treatment and 2 weeks after the last treatment(P<0.05).In the patient satisfaction research,the satisfaction of skin color,skin texture,pore,wrinkle,nasolabial sulcus,face lifting are all greater than 80%.It is obtained from VAS:Most volunteers had mild pain or no pain in Smooth mode and Piano mode,and had moderate pain in FRAC3 mode and Superficial mode.There were no serious adverse reactions.Conclusion:It is safe,effective and comfortable to use Er:YAG laser combined with Nd:YAG laser in facial rejuvenation.
