Objective:To explore the recurrence of atrial fibrillation(AF)following short-term oral amiodarone after radiofrequency catheter ablation(RFCA)in patients with AFMethods:Retrospectively analyze the clinical data of patients with AF undergoing RFCA from January 01,2015 to March 31,2017,according to whether they took amiodarone after ablation:In the amiodarone group and control group.?Compare the basic clinical data of the two groups of patients;? Compare the recurrence and hospitalization within 3 months(early stage)after ablation, describe the time of AF recurrence recorded for the first time in the blank period of the amiodarone group and the control group using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis curve(Log-Rank test);?Assess possible risk factors for recurrence at the 3-month follow-up by using a logistic regression model;?Compare the recurrence of within 3-12 months(late stage);?Assess possible risk factors for late recurrence with a logistic regression model. Results:?A total of 146 patients were included in the study, including 92 patients in the amiodarone group[aged(56.5 ± 6.9)years old,55 males(60.0%),15 patients(16.3%)with persistent AF(PeAF)],54 patients in the control group[aged(56.5 ± 6.4)years old,35 males(64.8%),8 PeAF(14.8%)],5 patients were lost to follow-up at the late stage, and 141 patients completed postoperative follow-up.There was no significant difference between the two groups in baseline data, including AF type,AF course, operation mode, gender, left atrial diameter(LAD),hypertension, diabetes, smoking, etc;? The early recurrence rate(P=0.045)and hospitalization rate(P=0.027)in amiodarone group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the time of the first AF attack was prolonged compared with that in the control group(log rank:P=0.024);?Multivariate logistic regression analysis found that amiodarone was an independent protective factor(P=0.029),and LAD was an independent risk factor for early recurrence(P=0.002);?There was no statistical difference in the late recurrence rate between amiodarone and control group(P=0.528);?Only early recurrence was an independent risk factor for late recurrence(P<0.001).Conclusions:?Taking amiodarone within 3 months after AF radiofrequency ablation can effectively improve early recurrence and reduce the related rehospitalization rate, but it is not obvious for late relapse;?Amiodarone is an independent protective factor for early recurrence,LAD is an independent risk factor for early recurrence;?Only early relapse is an independent risk factor of late relapse.
