convenience sampling method was used to select elderly female patients with urinary incontinence from 2 general hospital in Kaifeng city from October 2018 to July 2019.We had handed out a total of 198 questionnaires, and the effective recovery rate was 90.91%.The tools included the general demographic data questionnaire, the self-esteem scale, the resilience scale, and the quality of life scale for urinary incontinence.Using SPSS20.0 statistical software for statistical analysis. The mean, standard deviation and percentage were used to describe the general demographic data,self-esteem level, psychological resilience and quality of life of elderly female patients with urinary incontinence.Univariate analysis of variance was used to analyze the demographic differences in self-esteem,psychological resilience and quality of life. The correlation among self-esteem,resilience and quality of life was analyzed by pearson correlation. The influence of self-esteem and psychological resilience on quality of life in elderly female patients with urinary incontinence was analyzed by multiple linear regression.Results1.The mean score of self-esteem scale of elderly female patients with urinary incontinence was atthe low level,23.20±3.56 points. The self-esteem level of elderly patients with urinary incontinence was significantly different among different levels of education, income, sleep, type of urinary incontinence,self-care ability and severity of urinary incontinence(P < 0.05).2.The average score of the mental resilience scale for the elderly female patients with urinary incontinence was at the low level,48.27±5.86 points. There were statistically significant differences in psychological resilience among patients of different ages, income and expenses, marital status,self-care ability, type of urinary incontinence and severity of urinary incontinence(P < 0.05).3.The mean score on the quality of life scale of urinary incontinence was 56.33±11.26,it is at the low middle level. The quality of life of elderly patients with urinary incontinence with different education levels, marriage, medical insurance, sleep status,self-care ability and severity of urinary incontinence were different, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).4.It showed that level of self-esteem was significant correlation between resilience and difference by pearson correlation analysis.(r =0.388,P< 0.01),the correlation between self-esteem level and quality of life is difference(r = 0.454,P < 0.01),the quality of life scores increased with the increase of the level of self-esteem score mental flexibility and quality of life were significantly related difference(r = 0.576,P< 0.01),the quality of life score increases along with the psychological resilience scores.5.The results of regression analysis showed that the factors influencing the quality of life included education level, marital status,self-esteem level, mental resilience, medical insurance,self-care ability, severity of urinary incontinence, etc. The results were statistically significant(P<0.05).Psychological resilience,self-esteem,marital status, severity of urinary incontinence,self-care ability, medical insurance, and educational level all accounted for 48.4 percent of the total variation in quality of life in elderly patients with urinary incontinence(F=262.597,R2=0.485,adjusted R2=0.484,P<0.01).Conclusion1.The self-esteem and psychological resilience of the elderly patients with urinary incontinence were all at a low level, and the quality of life was at a medium low level.2.The patients with high education level, monthly income > expenditure, high self-care ability, good sleep quality and low severity of stress urinary incontinence had relatively high self-esteem;Patients with higher age, spouse, monthly income > expenditure, high self-care ability, low severity of stress urinary incontinence and urinary incontinence had higher mental resilience. The quality of life of the elderly female patients with urinary incontinence with high education, spouse, economic income more than expenditure, medical insurance for employees, high self-care ability and mild severity is relatively higher.3.The self-esteem level of elderly female patients with urinary incontinence was positively correlated with psychological resilience,self-esteem and quality of life, and psychological resilience and quality of life. The factors influencing the quality of life of elderly female patients with urinary incontinence mainly include mental resilience,self-esteem,spouse,severity,self-care ability, medical insurance and education level. The most influential factors are mental resilience and self-esteem.
