Purpose: To investigate the expression of GATA3,SOX10,and AR in triple negative breast cancer(TNBC),invasive breast cancer,no special type(IBC-NST)and metastatic breast cancer(MBC)and their relationship with clinicopathological factors,and analysis the value of GATA3,SOX10 and AR in the diagnosis of TNBC.Methods: From January 2013 to December 2018,95 TNBC tissue wax blocks,45 IBC-NST tissue wax blocks and 20 MBC tissue wax blocks,which were diagnosed by the Pathology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College and have complete medical records were collected.The expressions of GATA3,SOX10,and AR in all the tissue wax blocks were detected by immunohistochemistry(IHC),and the clinical data of patients were collected,and data analysis was performed using statistical software.Results:(1)The positive rates of GATA3,SOX10,and AR in TNBC tissues were 57.9%,68.4%,and 29.5%,and the positive rates of GATA3,SOX10,AR in IBC-NST tissues were 93.3%,4.4%,and 80.0%,the positive rates of GATA3?SOX10 and AR in MBC tissues were 90.0%,5.0%,and 70.0%.(2)In TNBC,the expression of GATA3 was independent of age,histological grade,tumor size and lymph node metastasis,and the difference was not statistically significant.The expression of SOX10 was independent of age,tumor size,histological grade and lymph node metastasis,and the difference was not statistically significant.The expression of AR was related to histological grade,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),but was not related to age,tumor size and lymph node metastasis.(3)In TNBC,the expression of GATA3 was negatively correlated with the expression of SOX10 and positively correlated with the expression of AR,while the expression of SOX10 was negatively correlated with the expression of AR.(4)The sensitivity and specificity of SOX10 in TNBC were higher than that of GATA3 and AR.In Sox10 negative TNBC,the expression rate of GATA3 was 96.7%(29 / 30),and that of AR was 76.7%(23 / 30).Conclusions:(1)This study shows that SOX10 and GATA3 are sensitive immunohistochemical markers of TNBC,and the combined detection of SOX10 and GATA3 is of great significance for the diagnosis of TNBC.(2)SOX10 is a more sensitive marker of breast cancer pedigree in TNBC.(3)AR has no reliable diagnostic significance for TNBC,but the expression of AR in TNBC may represent a unique molecular typing and an effective therapeutic target.
