| Objective To perform a meta-analysis of published data to evaluate the accuracy of blue laser imaging endoscopy system(BLI)in the diagnosis of colorectal polyps. Methods The study design, risk of bias, and report quality assessment were conducted according to the Meta analysis report specification(PRISMA-DTA)of the diagnostic test accuracy DTA.According to the computer and manual retrieval of related subject words and free words, the computer was searched the diagnostic tests on BLI and colorectal polyps from January 2011 to January 2020 in the eight major databases of EMBASE(Excerpt Medica Database),Pubmed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,China Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),CNKI,Wanfang Database, and VIP.Two researchers independently screened the literature and extracted relevant data. The QUADAS-2 scale was used to evaluate the quality of each included literature.Statistical analysis was performed using MetaDisc 1.4,Stata 15,and Review Manager 5.3 software.According to heterogeneity between studies,a random effect model was selected to obtain combined sensitivity and specificity Indicators and their forest maps. For heterogeneity between studies, regression and subgroup analysis were performed on the source of heterogeneity.Funnel charts were used to assess publication bias. Results The 7 articles included a total of 3,080 lesions. The combined sensitivity was calculated as 95%,95%CI(91%,97%),and the combined specificity was calculated as 88%,95%CI(78%-94%).The combined positive likelihood ratio was 8.21,95%CI(4.27,15.77),the combined negative likelihood ratio was calculated as 0.05,95% CI(0.03,0.10),and the combined diagnostic odds ratio(DOR)was 170.02,95%,CI(63.89,452.48).The comprehensive receiver operating characteristic curve(SROC)was drawn, and the area under the curve(AUC)was 0.98,95%CI(0.96,0.99)(P<0.05).The subgroup analysis reduced the heterogeneity of the study to a certain extent. The regression analysis suggested that the country, the diameter of polyps(≤10mm),and the criteria for endoscopic polyp typing may be the source of heterogeneity. The included studies did not find publication Bias. Conclusions Blue laser image has a high diagnostic accuracy rate for Neoplastic polyps and Non-neoplastic polyps and is helpful for real-time diagnosis. |
